1. Introduction and Acceptance

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the not.bot mobile application ("App") and related

websites at julia.social and not.bot ("Website"), operated by Julia Social, Inc., a Delaware corporation

("Julia Social," "we," "us," or "our").

By downloading, installing, or using the App or Website, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do

not agree to these Terms, do not use our services.

Minimum Age: You must be at least 13 years old to use not.bot. If you are under 18, you represent that

you have parental or guardian consent to use the App.

2. Description of Service

not.bot is a privacy-preserving digital identity platform that enables users to:

Create cryptographic proofs of human identity through passport verification

Generate blockchain-based identity aliases

Create and verify digital signatures (stickers) attached to content

Reserve vanity names for aliases (with paid subscriptions)

Obtain Verified Creator badges linking aliases to social media accounts

Privacy-First Design: not.bot is designed to minimize data collection. Most of your data remains

exclusively on your device, and we cannot access the content of your messages or track your activities.

3. Account Registration and Identity Verification

3.1 Enrollment Process

To use not.bot, you must:

Possess a valid U.S. passport with NFC capability

Complete the enrollment process using your iPhone

Scan your passport's NFC chip for identity verification

3.2 Verification Through Inverid

Your passport data is processed by our third-party verification partner, Inverid, to verify government

digital signatures. Inverid deletes all passport data within five minutes of processing. Julia Social receives

only limited demographic information (legal name, birthdate, gender, nationality) which is immediately

processed into cryptographic proofs and then deleted.

3.3 No Account Recovery

Due to our privacy-preserving architecture, we cannot recover lost accounts. If you lose access to your

device or uninstall the App, you must re-enroll with a new passport scan.

4. Subscription Services

4.1 Service Tiers

Free Edition: Up to 5 aliases, JAB code stickers only, requires referral code

Pro Edition: Unlimited aliases, QR code stickers, one Reserved Name

Verified Creator: All Pro features plus additional Reserved Names and Verified Creator badges

4.2 Payment and Billing

All subscriptions are processed through Apple's App Store

Billing is governed by Apple's terms and conditions

We do not have access to your payment information

4.3 No Refunds

All subscription fees are non-refundable. You may cancel your subscription at any time through the

Apple App Store, but no refunds will be provided for unused portions of subscription periods.

4.4 Service Changes Upon Cancellation

If you cancel your subscription:

All aliases and Reserved Names remain yours permanently

Verified Creator badges will be revoked

Previously created stickers remain valid

If you have more than 5 aliases, you cannot create new aliases until your count is reduced

5. Reserved Names

5.1 Vanity Names Only

Reserved Names are vanity identifiers only and do not represent verification of your actual identity or any

legal claim to the name.

5.2 No Trademark Protection

We do not review Reserved Names for trademark, intellectual property, or other legal conflicts. By

reserving a name, you acknowledge that:

The name does not grant you any intellectual property rights

We are not responsible for any trademark or other legal disputes

You assume all legal responsibility for your choice of Reserved Name

5.3 No Dispute Resolution

We will not participate in disputes over Reserved Names. We will not voluntarily revoke, transfer, or

modify Reserved Names based on third-party claims, regardless of the nature of such claims. We will

comply only with court orders from courts of appropriate jurisdiction.

5.4 Permanent Assignment

Reserved Names cannot be changed, transferred, or sold. Once assigned, they remain associated with

your alias permanently.

6. Prohibited Uses

You may not:

Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or hack the App or our systems

Circumvent referral code requirements or subscription limitations

Use automated tools or scripts to interact with our services

Attempt to overwhelm our systems or infrastructure

Violate any applicable laws or regulations

7. User Content and Intellectual Property

7.1 Your Content

You retain ownership of all content you include in stickers and messages. We do not access, store, or have

rights to your message content.

7.2 Our Intellectual Property

The App, Website, and underlying technology are protected by intellectual property laws. You may not

copy, modify, or create derivative works without our written permission.

7.3 Open Source Components

This software incorporates various open source components. A complete list of components and their

licenses is available in our attribution documentation.

8. Blockchain and Permanent Records

8.1 Permanent Nature

Blockchain records created through not.bot are permanent and cannot be deleted, modified, or

transferred. This includes your root identity and all aliases.

8.2 No Personal Information

Blockchain records contain no personally identifiable information, only cryptographic proofs and public

keys.

9. Third-Party Services

9.1 Inverid

Identity verification is performed by Inverid under their terms of service. Any errors in verification are

Inverid's responsibility, not ours.

9.2 Infrastructure Providers

We use various infrastructure providers including AWS and blockchain services. We are not responsible

for outages or issues with third-party infrastructure.

9.3 Apple App Store

App distribution and subscription billing are governed by Apple's terms and conditions.

10. Data and Privacy

10.1 Privacy Policy

Your privacy is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated by reference into these Terms.

10.2 Data Portability Limitations

Due to our privacy-preserving architecture:

We cannot provide access to your cryptographic proofs as they contain no identifying information

We cannot associate stored data with specific users

Traditional data portability concepts do not apply to our cryptographic infrastructure

11. Service Availability and Modifications

11.1 No Uptime Guarantees

We provide the service "as is" with no guarantees of availability or uptime.

11.2 Service Modifications

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of the service at any time. Material changes will be

announced on our website at julia.social.

11.3 Updates to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Updated terms will be posted on our website with a new

effective date. Your continued use constitutes acceptance of revised terms.

12. Disclaimers and Limitations of Liability

12.1 Service Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS

OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A

PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.

12.2 Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, JULIA SOCIAL SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY

INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT

LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR USE, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR THE

SERVICE.

12.3 Sticker Misuse

We are not responsible for how others use, misuse, copy, or distribute stickers you create. You

acknowledge that stickers are images that can be copied and pasted anywhere.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Julia Social from any claims, damages, or expenses arising

from:

Your use of the service

Your violation of these Terms

Your Reserved Name choices

Content you include in stickers

Your violation of any third-party rights

14. Termination

14.1 No Account Termination

Due to the permanent nature of blockchain records, we cannot terminate accounts. However, we may

suspend access to certain features for Terms violations.

14.2 Your Right to Stop Using

You may stop using the service at any time by deleting the App. Your blockchain records will remain

permanent.

15. Dispute Resolution

15.1 Binding Arbitration

Any dispute arising from these Terms or the service shall be resolved through binding arbitration

administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Commercial Arbitration Rules.

15.2 Individual Claims Only

You agree to bring claims only in your individual capacity and not as part of any class action or collective

proceeding.

15.3 Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, without regard to conflict of law principles.

15.4 Venue

Any arbitration proceedings shall take place in Atlanta, Georgia.

16. General Provisions

16.1 Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Julia

Social.

16.2 Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full effect.

16.3 No Waiver

Our failure to enforce any provision does not constitute a waiver of that provision.

16.4 Assignment

We may assign these Terms without notice. You may not assign your rights under these Terms.
